Ansie Menezes joined the litigation, arbitration and employment practice after moving from the Mining team. Ansie is at the forefront of transforming the manner in which commercial litigation is managed. She has developed a client-oriented solution to commercial disputes for both local and international mining clients. The bulk litigation practice is based on alternate fee structures for undefended matters and reduced hourly tariffs for defended matters.
Ansie is experienced in managing a number of complex, high-value commercial disputes and has more than 10 years’ experience in dealing with evictions. She also is responsible for drafting of commercial agreements and employer lease agreements.
Representative experience
Advised Anglo American Zimele on the regulatory compliance of various pieces of legislation that impact on their business, eg. National Credit Act.
Continues to advise in respect of a number of commercial litigation matters.
Advises leading global mining companies on numerous land issues, including eviction of illegal occupiers and land invaders
Advised leading global mining companies, on a continuous basis in a large volume of commercial litigation matters and also general commercial support in drafting of varying commercial agreements
