European Green Deal

Hydrogen - from strategy to market success

In the current political debate, hydrogen offers great hope for the energy transition and climate protection. However, while the German government, the EU Commission and numerous state governments have published strategy papers, an applicable regulatory framework for the future hydrogen market does not yet exist.

Market success requires more than just technological progress, declining production costs and the will to change. An essential prerequisite for reaching that goal is a regulatory framework that is appropriate, dynamic and, at the same time, reliable for all market participants. Together with our esteemed panel of guest speakers, we are pleased to provide you with an overview of the expectations and proposals from industry as well as some possible political solutions.

The Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, will be our guest from the political sector.

Furthermore, we are looking forward to hearing from leading representatives from industry and regulators: Prof. Dr. Armin Schnettler (VDE President and CEO New Energy Business at Siemens Energy), Carsten Stabenau (Coordinator Hydrogen of Westnetz GmbH), Ulrich Ronnacker (General Counsel Open Grid Europe GmbH) and from the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) Peter Franke (Vice President) and Dr. Christian Schütte (Chairman of the 9th Ruling Chamber).

The event will be held in German and simultaneously translated into English. The link to access the English translation will be sent shortly before the event.
