His work for clients in the telecommunications sector involves both standard essential and non-essential technologies, and he advises on issues such as FRAND licences and competition law. Most of James' cases involve international businesses simultaneously litigating in several countries, so he has extensive experience with international clients and the demands of coordinating multinational legal teams from different jurisdictions.
Pro bono James has represented families of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack and advised victims of human trafficking on compensation claims under the CICA scheme.
