Hogan Lovells advises Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation in shipping thousands of ventilators and millions of units of PPE to the US from China

Denver and Washington D.C., 3 June 2020 – International law firm Hogan Lovells is representing the Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation in meeting the US Food and Drug Administration’s requirements to import critical ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) to be donated to healthcare facilities in New York, New Jersey, California, and Michigan, including thousands of ventilators and millions of units of PPE including surgical masks, goggles, face shields and gloves.

The Tsais worked with local nonprofits to donate and distribute the shipments to hospital systems in New York, New Jersey, California and Michigan.

The team was led by Medical Device and Technology partner Jodi Scott. The team also included International Trade and Investment partner Chandri Navarro, Corporate partner Matthew Eisler, associate Wil Henderson and associate Sandra McCarthy.
