Hogan Lovells' Global Tech M&A Leader Named Top 100 California Lawyer for 5th Consecutive Year

For the fifth year in a row, leading Hogan Lovells M&A partner Rick Climan has been named to the California Daily Journal's prestigious list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. Climan serves as Global Head of Hogan Lovells’ Technology M&A Practice.

Climan, who brought his large, Northern California-based M&A team to Hogan Lovells in 2017, has helped establish the firm as a tech M&A powerhouse. The Daily Journal’s profile notes that Climan and his team are celebrating their 5th anniversary at the firm.

The Daily Journal’s profile also singled out Climan for leading the firm’s relationship with a number of the firm’s key clients, including serial acquirer Synopsys, and noted Climan’s role in Walmart’s historic acquisition of a majority interest in Flipkart, valued at $16 billion.

The Northern California team that Climan leads, which also includes partners Keith Flaum, Jane Ross and John Brockland, has practiced together for over 20 years. They are renowned as thought leaders in the tech M&A field. The team has gained prominence through its innovative M&A Boot Camp training series, which Climan and his team members have successfully used to help build a pipeline of legal talent comprising the next generation of M&A stars.
