Hogan Lovells scales new heights to support nature’s recovery
London, 3 August 2022 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to have hosted the 'Things with Wings' themed abseil fundraiser to celebrate its partnership with UK charity partner, The Wildlife Trusts.
Almost 50 courageous colleagues took flight and abseiled the 34-metre descent from Atlantic House and raised money to support The Wildlife Trusts. This year, in celebration of the firm’s partnership with the Trust’s, the abseil fancy dress theme was 'Things with Wings' with prizes being awarded to the best individual and team costume as well as those who fundraised the most.
All money fundraised will be matched by the firm to support the Trusts’ goal to secure nature’s recovery on land and sea. Their vision is to see active recovery for wildlife happening across at least 30% of our land and seas by 2030.
Their Strategy 2030 highlights the importance of restoring green spaces as it will ensure a thriving natural world, with wildlife and natural habitats playing a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies.
Margaret Ruttle from the London Wildlife Trusts who joined the fundraiser, commented: “It was a fabulous day meeting Hogan Lovells colleagues and cheering them on, and a great opportunity to participate in one of the firm’s fundraising events myself! Well done to everyone involved!”

The Wildlife Trusts believe that for nature to have a chance and to see active recovery for wildlife, taking action for saving insects is essential.
