Jorge Diaz-Silveira named Hogan Lovells Office Managing Partner in Miami

Miami, 10 January 2020 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Jorge Diaz-Silveira has been named Office Managing Partner for the firm's Miami office effective 1 January 2020. Maria Eugenia Ramirez will remain Office Administrative Partner.

Diaz-Silveira serves as Practice Area Leader (Americas) of the Infrastructure, Energy, Resources, and Projects practice group. He has decades of experience working with clients throughout the Americas to successfully construct, finance, develop, purchase, and sell projects and businesses. His clients operate in industries that include real estate, utilities, agriculture, food services, transportation, and energy.

Diaz-Silveira succeeds Richard Lorenzo, who had been in the role since 2011 and will continue his practice representing clients in complex cross-border disputes. Lorenzo, who is fluent in Spanish, has extensive experience representing clients with interests throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe in international commercial litigation and arbitration. Lorenzo is also on the firm's board of directors.

Ramirez focuses her practice on international arbitration, with an emphasis on Latin America and the Caribbean. She handles international arbitration matters in both English and Spanish before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association (ICDR), the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
