57th Offshore Breakfast

South Korea – the new offshore wind hot spot?

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a good start into the New Year! We will be continuing our offshore wind breakfast series this year and would be delighted if you would join us in our first event in 2024:

The South Korean offshore wind market recently made some huge leaps forward: Not only the increase of the official offshore wind target from 14.3 GW to 26.7 GW by 2036, but more specifically the financial close of first 99 MW offshore wind farm Jeonnam 1, the successful completion of further EIAs for major project, the recent successful tenders, PPAs etc.

A team from Kim & Chang including attorneys John S. Park and Ryan L. Russel will introduce you into the details of the current and future permitting and regulatory developments from the perspective of international developers, investors and lenders, and share some lessons learned from the first projects.

Please note that for the first time this Offshore Breakfast will be held as a hybrid event with the option to participate remotely. Please indicate on the registration link below if you plan to attend in person or remotely. A dial in link will be sent to all registered participants in due time before the event.

The event will be moderated by Dr Christian Knütel, partner at Hogan Lovells and head of the Hamburg offshore competence center.

Please register using the link in the right column or at the end of the invitation.

Of course, breakfast is free of charge for you.

We are looking forward to welcoming you!
