58th Offshore Breakfast

Powering the Future: Harnessing Offshore Wind as critical infrastructure and improving operational efficiency through cybersecurity and advanced software applications

Offshore Wind is critical infrastructure and under increasing threat of physical- and cyber-attacks. Russian submarines are being seen spying around European offshore wind farms, hackers never sleep. Policymakers are working on legislation aimed at strengthening the resilience of Europe’s critical infrastructure.

At the same time, offshore wind is getting ever more digital and relying on new software applications. Developers and OEMs are facing challenges to remain compliant but to use the full benefits of digitalization at the same time. In our next breakfast we will be covering these challenges in three related presentations:

  • Offshore Wind as critical infrastructure: Status of actual and outlook on announced changes of the regulatory framework (Pia Heckenberger, Hogan Lovells)
  • Reliability and resilience in Offshore Wind through digitalization and cybersecurity (Vincent Dehullu, e-BO Enterprises)
