Anna Kurian Shaw is a first chair trial lawyer with over 20 years' experience litigating trademark, unfair competition, false advertising, and copyright cases. World Trademark Review 1000 has recognized her for "her finely whetted trial skills in court, ITC, and TTAB proceedings" where she "shines in cases marked by deep complexities in their points of law."

She has been repeatedly recognized by Managing Intellectual Property as an IP Star and by the World Trademark Review 1000, which notes her "special flair for dealing with non-traditional marks and issues that reach the International Trade Commission."

She has worked on cutting-edge trademark, trade dress, and copyright issues, including enforcing and obtaining protection for nontraditional trademarks such as the shape of the Tic Tac mint, the product configuration of various furniture designs, and the purple color of a protective glove, and has represented the companies behind such iconic brands like NUTELLA, American Red Cross, The Smurfs, Goodyear, Segway, Ketel One, Kia, and Girl Scouts. When clients have difficult and important issues, they come to her for her zealous advocacy, creative problem solving, and practical advice.
