Benjamin Andrew Fleming

In recent years, Ben has handled a range of disputes for global financial institutions relating to LIBOR, other similar benchmarks, SSA bond trading, and the London gold fixing process. He regularly handles matters involving conflicts between U.S. and foreign law, including in discovery, judgment enforcement, and the scope of U.S. courts' jurisdiction over multinational businesses.

Ben also represents and advises media and entertainment companies on a wide array of matters, ranging from defamation actions to intellectual property, newsgathering, and privilege issues. He has handled high-profile pro bono litigation for the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and others.

Ben was formerly the secretary of the Federal Courts Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and is an active member of the City Bar's Communications and Media Law Committee and the Federal Bar Council's Inn of Court. Before law school, Ben worked as a journalist. During law school, Ben worked for the Media Law Resource Center, where he wrote and analyzed new developments in the sector. He also served as a senior editor at the NYU Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law.
