Louis is a senior associate in our Public Law & Policy team, helping businesses understand, change and challenge the regulatory framework they operate in.
Louis assists clients in the public and private sectors on both contentious and advisory matters, including administrative and public law, commercial judicial review, EU law, commercial human rights and public affairs and policy.
Louis also advises clients on constitutional issues of fundamental importance to business, such as Brexit. He has a particular interest on how Brexit will impact the ability to litigate cross-border and has written extensively on this.
Representative experience
Acting for Uber in its appeals against decisions by TfL not to renew its licence to operate in London.
Advising Uber on key regulatory issues relevant to its UK operations, inside and outside London.
Acting for ITV in its successful defence of two expedited judicial reviews brought by the Liberal Democrats and the Scottish National Party.
Advising the Gambling Commission in relation to the competition to award the next National Lottery licence.
On-going advice for NATS, the UK's air traffic controller, on a wide range of public law and regulatory issues in connection with its operations.
Advising the LME on public law and related aspects of its functions, including rule development, consultation, challenge risk, dispute resolution and Brexit risk.
