Orlando is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and former Board Secretary of CIArb's North American Branch (NAB), a listed arbitrator by the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC), the Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, the International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration, and the Panama Conciliation and Arbitration Centre, Vicepresident to the ICC Mexico Investment Arbitration Committee, an ICC Mexico Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, ICC Committee Member on the Proposal of Arbitrators. Before, he served as Young ICCA Events Coordinator. He teaches investment arbitration at Universidad Iberoamericana and previously served as a legal intern in the New York State Supreme Court.

Represented a North American gas pipeline company in two LCIA arbitrations and related court proceedings against a Latin American State entity concerning contract termination.

Acted as an arbitral secretary in an ICDR arbitration under the laws of California and the seat in San Diego. The dispute concerns a major real estate project. 

Represented a Spanish investor in an ICSID arbitration against a Central American country related to the revocation of permits of a food processing company.

Represented a Jamaican investor in an UNCITRAL arbitration against a Caribbean country. The dispute concerns the expropriation of a waste management facility.

Represented a Latin American country in an ICSID arbitration related to the expropriation of real estate assets for the development of an ecotourism project.

Represented a Spanish investor in an ICSID arbitration against a Latin American country. The dispute concerns a vehicle technical review concession.

Represented a Latin American country in an ICSID arbitration related to the expropriation of a mining concession.

Represented a Latin American country in an ICSID arbitration related to the expropriation and unfair treatment of a brokerage house.

Sole arbitrator in a CANACO arbitration concerning breach of contract and related claims arising out of real estate assets.

Represented a gas company in an ICC arbitration arising out of a gas supply contract.*

Represented a Mexican company in an ICC arbitration arising out of a joint venture agreement breached by a French company. The seat of arbitration was Zurich, Switzerland.*
