As part of our Tax group, Katharine's work involves providing tax advice on a diverse range of matters, which includes working on corporate and finance matters, and advising institutional investors on commercial real estate transactions. Katharine also has experience in assisting clients with tax disputes.
Representative experience
Advising on UK tax aspects of securitisations in the UK and other European jurisdictions, including Volkswagen Financial Services' automotive receivables securitisations.
Advising an originator of securitisation programmes on the tax consequences of undertaking these transactions.
Advising financial institutions on the tax consequences of new types of financial products.
Advising on tax issues in relation to real estate transactions, in particular disposals of commercial property by large institutional investors.
Advising an international financial institution on resolving a complex issue with HMRC regarding utilisation of significant tax losses following a "Part VII" transfer.
