Hogan Lovells Hosts JETRO’s 100th Seminar

Our combined Washington, D.C. and Tokyo IP teams continued its long-running partnership with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) this past week, hosting a seminar and reception for Japanese officials and clients in our Washington, D.C. office. The seminar marked JETRO’s 100th seminar.

The keynote speaker at the event was Mr. Masanori Katsura, the Deputy Commissioner and second-highest ranking official of the Japanese Patent Office (JPO). Mr. Katsura flew from Tokyo for the event and presented on artificial intelligence (AI) and green initiatives. Speakers from our team included Joe Raffetto (Washington, D.C.), Damon Lewis (Washington, D.C.), and Mike Kosuge (Tokyo), who presented on topics ranging from patent, AI, and trademark developments and issues.
