Insights and events
Shannon Finnegan focuses her practice on general labor and employment issues. Shannon recently rejoined Hogan Lovells after working at the firm as a summer associate in 2019.
Shannon has begun her practice by supporting businesses facing issues related to personnel policies, wage and hour, and COVID-19. She is committed to her pro bono work in which she enjoys supporting nonprofits as they navigate employment-related matters.
While in law school, Shannon gained valuable experience serving as a comments editor for the Seton Hall Law Review and as a student clerk for the Health Justice Clinic. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable John M. Vazquez in the United States District Court of New Jersey.
Shannon has a continued interest in helping people and businesses address technological advances. As a fellow with Seton Hall's Institute for Privacy Protection, Shannon engaged with middle school students to discuss their digital footprints and how to be mindful of information privacy when using digital platforms. Before law school, Shannon directly supported counsel for an education technology business as a contract administrator. In this role, she developed an understanding of a wide range of business contracts and issues, and a true appreciation for the complex legal matters that businesses face in a digital world.
