Gernot Dederichs advises companies in the areas of compliance, internal investigations and white-collar crime. The focus of his compliance advice is on the establishment and operation of whistleblower systems.
Gernot Dederichs has experience in clarifying facts by means of internal investigations and taking appropriate remedial and sanction measures. He also regularly supports companies in communicating with law enforcement and supervisory authorities in external investigations, which often run parallel to an internal investigation.
Gernot Dederichs is an active member of Hogan Lovells' global ESG group and Business & Human Rights group.
He completed an integrated degree programme in economics at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bafin) before studying law at the University of Cologne from 2014, specialising in commercial law. After his first state exam, he worked as a research assistant in labour law at a large law firm in Cologne. During his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Aachen, he worked for the German Foreign Office (German Embassy in Budapest) and an international law firm, among others.
