John’s practice spans all phases of the merger clearance process. He advises companies regarding compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and represents clients in merger investigations before federal and state antitrust agencies. John has also represented clients in successful merger trials in federal court.
Outside of mergers, John advises clients on issues such as strategic collaborations, pricing, and information sharing. He has represented clients in conduct investigations and civil litigation. John works with clients in a variety of industries, including health care and life sciences, technology, defense, and industrials.
While at Duke University School of Law, John was an editor for the Duke Law Journal. Prior to law school, John worked as an accountant for a leading health care services company.
Represented UnitedHealth Group in DOJ investigation and lawsuit seeking to block acquisition of Change Healthcare.
Represented Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in FTC lawsuit seeking to block merger with Thomas Jefferson University.
