Felipe Lacerda is a dual qualified lawyer (NY/USA and Brazil) with 10+ years of experience advising corporations and financial institutions in corporate, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, as well as general cross-border matters, with a special focus on Brazil. 

Felipe has advised companies across a broad range of industries, including financial services, TMT, infrastructure, health, agribusiness, food and beverage, having represented acquirers and sellers in stock and asset deals, mergers, joint ventures, business combinations and other relevant commercial transactions, as well as parties to complex corporate reorganizations, public and private offerings of debt, equity and other securities. 

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Felipe practiced at one of the top-tier Brazilian firms and worked as foreign associate with a major global law firm.  His fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese, coupled with his diverse background and practice gives him the chance to help clients communicate across different legal and business cultures in matters involving Brazil and Latin America.

Representative experience

Advising clients on multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business combinations and corporate restructurings in Brazil and Latin America

Advised international corporations on the incorporation of local subsidiaries and set up of operations in Latin America.

Coordinated legal due diligence, having reviewed a broad range of corporate structures, corporate documents and commercial agreements.

Advising clients on international equity debt capital markets transactions.
