Martin Fähndrich focuses on patent litigation and has successfully run more than a hundred infringement cases at the courts in Düsseldorf, Mannheim and Munich. He also represents his clients in opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office and in nullity actions at the German patent court (Bundespatentgericht).

Unlike most German litigators, Martin is double qualified as a lawyer and as an engineer, and specializes on cases involving challenging technical subject matter. Martin is also very experienced in representing clients in FRAND cases. He has a significant track record in negotiating and drafting licensing agreements and settlements.

Representing engineering clients on patent infringement, nullity and opposition cases.
Representing Stryker, Karl Storz, Fresenius Kabi and the French state in various cases.
Litigating patents in connection with multiple mode direct conversion receivers, optical transmission systems, optical amplifiers and wavelength division multiplexing.
Assisting BlackBerry, ZTE and other leading handset and telecoms infrastructure manufacturers in patent infringement, invalidity and opposition proceedings.
Litigating numerous LTE, UMTS and speech coding patents and on other aspects of smartphone technology.
