Four Hogan Lovells lawyers named among Law360 Rising Stars

Washington, D.C., Denver, 15 July 2024 – Hogan Lovells lawyers Russell Hedman, Michael Snow, Matthew Clark, and Ryan Thompson have been named Law360’ Rising Stars, one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for lawyers aged under 40. 

The winners were selected from nearly 1,200 submissions, 70 law firms, and 34 practice areas. Winners were selected based on their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.

Russell Hedman, a partner in the M&A Group based in our Denver and New York offices was selected among the winners in the Sports and Betting category. Russell has led some of the most high-profile recent sports deals, including representing the buyers in the successful auction of the NFL’s Denver Broncos and the investment by Fenway Sports Group and Strategic Sports Group in PGA TOUR Enterprises, a landmark professional golf deal. He is also a partner in our Private Equity practice area, and recently co-led a team advising Dynasty Equity as it co-led the Series A investment round for TMRW Sports, an innovative golf venture founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, among others. Michael Snow, a partner in our M&A Group based in Washington, was selected among the winners in the Healthcare category. He was profiled for his work in several significant Healthcare transactions including guiding Kaiser in its creation of new value-based care business Risant Health, and in Risant’s first acquisition of Geisinger Health. He has also been instrumental in guiding Meharry Medical College in the creation of a new subsidiary, The Diaspora Human Genomics Institute, which is developing the world’s largest genomics research database focused on people of African ancestry. Matthew Clark, counsel in our Global Regulatory practice in Washington., D.C., was selected among the winners in the Transportation category. Matt is a key member of the firm’s Uncrewed Aircraft Systems practice area, and has played a major role in the firm developing a nationally-recognized team that has helped the government and many clients develop the regulatory and commercial framework for drone usage. Ryan Thompson, a senior associate in our Global Regulatory practice group, was selected in the Telecommunications category. Ryan has established himself as a leader in our Communications, Internet, and Media practice area, particularly on wireless communications policy.
