Four Hogan Lovells partners named Law360 MVPs for Real Estate, Trials, and Health Care

Washington, D.C. partner David Bonser, Global Managing Partner of our Corporate practice and leader of our REIT practice, was recognized in the Real Estate category. Bonser has enjoyed a banner 12 months, including guiding QTS Realty Trust in its US$10 billion acquisition by The Blackstone Group, and advising VICI Properties in its US$17.2 billion acquisition of MGM Growth Properties. In the Trials category, Houston partners Maria Wyckoff Boyce and Cristina Espinosa Rodriguez enjoyed the rare distinction of winning as a pair. They obtained a US$152 million verdict on behalf of client ResMan in a trade secrets trial  in the Eastern District of Texas over the company’s industry leading property management software. One of the first jury trials to have been tried in person after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the initial trial  resulted in a mistrial after 15 people present in the courtroom tested positive for COVID. Washington D.C. partner Randy Prebula was recognized as a Law360 MVP in the Health Care category for his work helping multiple clients expedite regulatory approval for COVID-19-related testing and treatments. These included California-based Lucira Health Inc., which had developed one of the earliest rapid COVID-19 testing kits. Prebula helmed the team of regulatory lawyers that succeeded in getting the product approved for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
