Hogan Lovells advises American Robotics in acquisition by Ondas Holdings

Northern Virginia and Washington D.C., 6 August 2021 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised American Robotics, Inc., a leading developer of highly-automated commercial drone technology, in its strategic acquisition by proprietary, software-based wireless broadband technology developer Ondas Holdings, Inc. The deal was initially announced in May and closed 5 August.

American Robotics brings numerous benefits in this deal. It offers best-in-class IP, its unique Scout ™ UAS that uses AI and enables unprecedented access to actionable aerial intelligence, and its historic Federal Aviation Administration approvals, which include the first ever approval to operate drones beyond-visual-line-of-sight (“BVLOS”) with no humans on-site.

American Robotics is a long time client of Hogan Lovells and the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) practice led by Lisa Ellman.
