Hogan Lovells advises The Crown Estate as it seals landmark agreements for offshore wind projects

The completion of these agreements marks the culmination of a project known as Offshore Wind Leasing Round 4. This project creates the opportunity to deliver renewable electricity for more than 7 million homes, through the production of nearly 8GW of renewable energy and is a significant step in the UK’s response to climate change. 

A multi-disciplinary team at Hogan Lovells acted for The Crown Estate throughout the Offshore Wind Leasing Round 4 project; from concept design stages, throughout the live auction/tender process and, looking to the future, on to the asset management of these projects following the completion of these Agreements for Lease. 

The Hogan Lovells team was led by partners Nicholas Roberts and Scott Tindall, and supported by a core team including consultant Kate Rees, senior associate Rosie Bradford and associate Amy Cleaves with others supporting across the firm.
