Hogan Lovells advises Brummer Logistik Group on sale to DACHSER SE

Press releases | 08 July 2024

Led by Frankfurt-based private equity partner Dr Jörg Herwig, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Brummer Logistik Group on its acquisition by DACHSER SE. The transaction included the sale of all shares in Brummer Logistik GmbH, Brummer Logistic Solutions GmbH and the limited partnership interest in Brummer Logistic Solutions GmbH & Co. as well as various internal reorganization measures.

The Brummer Group companies, which were previously family-owned, generated total sales of around EUR 128 million in the 2023 financial year, making them one of the leading providers of food logistics services in Central Europe. The Brummer Group's core business includes transportation, warehousing and contract logistics services. Through the strategic acquisition, DACHSER intends to fully integrate the Brummer companies into the European Food Network, which is under the system leadership of DACHSER and covers a total of 33 countries throughout Europe. This integration will further strengthen DACHSER's position in the European food logistics market and significantly expand its existing service capabilities.

Hogan Lovells advised Brummer Logistik Group on all legal aspects of the transaction. This included the negotiation and drafting of the transaction documents as well as the negotiation of lease agreements for logistics space and fixed assets.

Dr Jörg Herwig, Head of the German Private Equity & Funds practice at Hogan Lovells, commented:

"We are pleased to have advised Brummer Logistik Group on this important transaction. The successful acquisition of the companies by DACHSER offers all market participants strong future prospects in the cross-border food logistics sector."
