Hogan Lovells advises Bundesrepublik Deutschland – Finanzagentur GmbH on the sale of part of its shareholding in Deutsche Lufthansa AG

Press releases | 28 July 2022

Led by its Frankfurt partners Prof Dr Michael Schlitt and Dr Tim Oliver Brandi, international law firm Hogan Lovells advised the Bundesrepublik Deutschland – Finanzagentur GmbH (Finanzagentur) on the sale of part of the shareholding in Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DLH) held by the Economic Stabilization Fund (WSF).

After a partial sale of its shares and subsequent participation in the capital increase in 2021, the WSF's stake was still 14.09%. Against the background of Lufthansa's stable corporate development, WSF has reduced its shareholding over the past weeks to now less than 10%.

As announced on July 27, 2022, WSF will now sell its remaining shareholding in DLH by October 2023 at the latest.
