Washington, D.C., 24 February 2021 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that the firm has received the highest possible score on the Human Rights Campaign’s annual scorecard assessing workplaces on their efforts towards improving equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer personnel and other gender and sexual orientation minorities (LGBTQ) for the twelfth consecutive year.

The firm ranked among law firms to receive a score of 100 in the latest edition of the Human Rights Campaign’s annual corporate accountability report.

The Human Rights Campaign, a leading LGBTQ advocacy organization in the U.S., and its Corporate Equality Index is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices, and benefits supporting LGBTQ employees.

Ratings are based on performance in four areas: widely applied nondiscrimination policies, equitable benefits for LGBTQ employees and their families, cultivation of an inclusive culture, and strong corporate social responsibility practices.

Commenting, D&I Director for the Americas, Rosevelie Márquez Morales, said: “We are proud to have received a perfect score on the HRC index and committed to maintaining an inclusive culture for everyone to thrive. This latest ranking affirms our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion and Responsible Business as a firm strategic priority, and our ambition to foster a culture where our people can be themselves and feel empowered to succeed.”

Since 2019 the firm has been a signatory to the HRC’s Business Coalition for the Equality Act. The coalition is a group of over 320 leading U.S. employers that support the Equality Act, federal legislation that would provide the same basic protections to LGBTQ people as are provided to other protected groups under the federal law.

Hogan Lovells has consistently been a staunch supporter of LGBTQ rights and equality. In the last year, the firm has introduced a global goal for LGBTQ partners*, which we will work diligently to achieve by 2025. The firm has been named one of Stonewall's Top Global Employers 2020, one of only 17 organizations around the world to achieve this honor, while our Pride+ Network, a global program of existing internal LGBT+ networks aimed at promoting inclusion across our global offices, has grown since its launch in 2017 to over 1300 members. The firm’s bi-annual Allverse conference also brings together hundreds of minority and LGBT+ lawyers and clients for networking, profile raising, education and planning.
