Chambers USA 2013
As the Co-Chair of our global environmental practice, Scott Reisch focuses in three principal areas: contamination issues, commercial transactions, and compliance counseling.
Scott's contamination practice includes brownfield redevelopment, voluntary cleanups, and litigation under federal and state cleanup statutes, such as Superfund/ the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Scott has helped clients on brownfield projects across the country, including in Colorado, Georgia, Montana, New York, North Carolina, and West Virginia.
Scott heads the firm's transactional environmental practice and regularly advises clients on environmental due diligence, provisions in purchase and financing agreements, and environmental insurance.
Scott counsels clients in the resource, pharmaceutical, and agriculture industries on a range of environmental issues. He represents clients in state and federal enforcement actions, manages environmental audits, and negotiates voluntary self-disclosures with state and federal regulators.
Scott is a frequent lecturer and author on environmental topics, including brownfields and environmental audits. He previously chaired the environmental section of the Colorado Bar Association.
