Katie Wellington

Katie appears frequently before the U.S. Supreme Court, including briefing and second-chairing argument in the seminal election law case Moore v. Harper.  She also practices in state and federal courts across the country, ranging from Massachusetts to Hawaii.  She has briefed and argued dozens of appeals and dispositive motions, and she serves as a trusted advisor for class actions, antitrust litigation, insurance litigation, intellectual property litigation, and administrative challenges.  Katie also advises on administrative law and constitutional issues, including presidential power and international agreements.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Katie clerked for Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., of the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

Katie received the Sears Prize at Harvard Law School, which is awarded to the top two students in the 1L class.  While in law school, Katie served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology, a board member of the Women's Law Association, and a student fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics.  She also participated in the Harvard Supreme Court Litigation Clinic.
