Andrés Chaves advises project sponsors/developers, multilateral and other lenders, private equity investors, and other stakeholders primarily in connection with renewable energy, oil and gas, and other infrastructure transactions. He has ample experience in all phases of project finance and development. His experience also includes private mergers and acquisitions, asset acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, and cross-border commercial transactions.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Andrés worked in the Houston and Washington, D.C. offices of other leading international law firms, where he also concentrated on global energy transactions and project finance. Before attending law school, Andrés worked for several years with a leading global paper and packaging manufacturer in various finance, marketing, and international sales roles.
Andrés is a native of Colombia and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was one of only 10 foreign cadets worldwide admitted with his class.
