Employment Law Developments in 2024

We are delighted to invite you to our webinar Employment law developments in 2024 taking place on Wednesday, 17 January 2024.

Extended employee rights will remain a hot topic in 2024.

The family-friendly changes introduced last year will start coming into force, while the government has announced January amendments to holiday entitlements and the Equality Act. In some cases these will preserve EU-derived rights; in others employment law will begin to diverge from EU requirements.

And with a general election due by January 2025, employment related issues are likely to remain high on the agenda for all political parties during the year.

In this webinar, the Hogan Lovells UK employment team will explore what employers should prepare for in 2024, including:

  • January changes to the Working Time Regulations and the Equality Act;
  • The new duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment;
  • A high level reminder of the changes to flexible working, enhanced redundancy protection for pregnant employees and those returning from family leave and the new rights to carer’s leave and neonatal leave;
  • What we expect the general election manifestos to contain on employment law reform; and
  • Key recent and forthcoming court cases with practical consequences for employers.

We hope you can join us.
