MOVE London 2024

For the 5th time Hogan Lovells is partnering with MOVE London, a tech mobility event that brings together people and companies redefining mobility. Our Hogan Lovells global MOVE team is hosting the “Regulation, Liability & ESG” stream, which looks at the onset of zero emission policies, autonomous and data security legislation, and issues around new mobility insurance, as well as examining the regulatory landscape in this new normal.

Our team will also be part of three session to share their thoughts and insights on a variety of topics:

  • Wednesday // 19 June // 10.40am // Regulation, Liability and ESG Stage
Keynote: ‘How global regulations are driving the automotive and mobility transition’

EVs and advanced driving capacity are the future of mobility. Regulations on a global scale - including geopolitical competition and climate concerns - are a dominant factor in that transition. We will explore the dynamic between market acceptance, technology advancement and regulation.

Panel: ‘Driverless vehicles: how is global regulation developing?’

Together with panelists Jessica Uguccioni, Head of CAM Adoption Strategy at CCAV, Ben Loewenstein, Senior Manager, European Policy & Government Affairs at Waymo, and Lisa Johnson, VP Global Public Affairs at Starship Technologies, they will explore the evolving landscape of autonomous vehicles, highlighting the crucial role of clear legal guidance for manufacturers in meeting the high demand for this innovative technology.

  • Wednesday // 19 June // 12.30pm // Regulation, Liability and ESG Stage
Roundtable: ‘Government's influence on mobility developments: goals and methods’

Spotlighting the pivotal role of government policies, this roundtable with Hogan Lovells Director of Government Affairs Robert Gardener and counsel Telha Arshad will explore the complex intersection of geopolitics, climate action, and technological evolution. Delving into energy transition and digitalization, panelists will discuss how government shapes the future of mobility, particularly amidst the rise of EVs and AVs. Panelists will also address ethical supply chains, securing critical minerals, and cybersecurity challenges, as well as the impact of geopolitical competition on Europe’s current business environment.
