Select IP with Hogan Lovells | Webinar no. 9: IP Transactions: JV, R&D agreements, collaboration agreements, and related contractual arrangements (Part I)

Our ninth session was the first of a two-part series on IP aspects of joint venture agreements, R&D agreements, collaboration agreements, and related contractual arrangements with Dr Frederick Ch'en, Taylor Evans, Katie McConnell, Christian Stoll, and Yu-An Chang.

Our lawyers discussed practical, legal and commercial issues associated with such contractual arrangements, particularly from a comparative perspective (US, UK, Germany and China). Our lawyers focused on recent trends from their respective jurisdictions, drawing on relevant case law and their experience in handling such IP transactions. In both parts of the two-part series, our lawyers will share their views on potential opportunities, risks and risk mitigation for Japanese companies contemplating and negotiating such transactions with overseas counterparties.

If you were unable to join us for the webinar the recording is available upon request.
