Kaustubh is counsel within the Equity Capital Markets and M&A practice, based in our Singapore office. Kaustubh’s practice covers diverse areas of equity capital markets, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and foreign investments.
He has represented and assisted both issuers and underwriters in fund raising through public offers, international issuances, private equity and venture capital funding. He has also been involved leading a variety of cross mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture capital transactions.
Kaustubh has been practicing law since 2007 and is a dual qualified lawyer. Before joining Hogan Lovells, he has worked with a leading international firm and a leading Indian national law firm their capital markets and M&A team.
He is commended by his peers and clients on his ability to manage transactions and his solution oriented approach.
Representative experience
Advised New India Assurance Company, India’s leading general insurance company, on its US$ 1.5 bn IPO.*
Advised on the US$ 2.3 bn QIP of State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest bank. Acted as international counsel to SBI. This was the largest institutional equity offering from India.*
Advised SBI Life Insurance Company, on its US$ 1.2 billion IPO.*
Led the team advising on the IPO and capital restructuring exercise of InterGlobe Aviation, the company that operates the Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo.*
Advised the Lead Managers on the US$ 175 million IPO and subsequent US$ 100 million QIP of Varun Beverages.*
Advised the Underwriters on the Rule 144A / Reg S IPO by Latent View Analytics. This is India's most oversubscribed equity offering till date.
Series A and B funding in Applied Solar Technologies by Bessemer Venture Partners.*
Represented Fairfax Asia on its US$160 mn acquisition of PT Asuransi Multi Artha Guna Tbkon from the Panin Group.*
Viacom Inc.’s acquisition of Prism TV Private Limited. Represented Viacom Inc. in is acquisition of 50% stake in Prism, a leading regional Indian channel broadcaster, valued at US$ 150 mn.*
Viacom Inc. joint venture with UTV. Represented Viacom Inc. in its joint venture with UTV Global for distribution of channels in India.*
Advised Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. on its acquisition of Summit Financial Disclosure, LLC.*
Legrand Group SA’s acquisition of the interest in Valrack Modular Systems.*
Chemtura Corporation’s proposed acquisition of Solaris Chemtech. Represented Chemtura in its proposed acquisition of Solaris Chemtech, an Avantha Group company engaged in bromine manufacturing.*
