Lukas Rengier advises on all matters of German and European competition law. He represents clients before the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission as well as before German and European courts.
Lukas has special expertise in competition litigation. He acted on numerous high-profile cases and secured important judgments for clients, i.a. by the German Federal Court of Justice.
He equally has a very active merger control practice, regularly representing clients in merger reviews before the German and European authorities as well as coordinating merger filings worldwide. His recent experience includes a transaction in the chemical sector that was cleared subject to conditions.
He also regularly defends companies in cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings and advises on issues at the interface of competition and patent laws.

Competition litigation: represent manufacturers in numerous lawsuits concerning the cases “Trucks”, “KWR” (drugstore articles), “Consumer Detergents” and “HEMA” (consumer goods)*
Merger control: advise chemical company on largest acquisition with ten merger filings worldwide; obtain clearance of acquisition of competitor by industrial company in "Phase 1" with conditions*
Cartel investigations: cases “metal packaging”, “sausage”, “road construction”*
Pharma competition law: coordinate competition law arguments in global patent litigation including complaint to competition authorities; advise on patent settlements*
