Washington D.C., 7 July 2021 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that partner Ari Fitzgerald, leader of the firm’s Communications, Internet, and Media practice, has been selected as one of four 2021 inductees to The Wireless History Foundation’s Hall of Fame.
Fitzgerald joined the firm in 2001 as a partner following a distinguished career at the Federal Communications Commission. In its announcement of his upcoming induction, The Foundation noted his numerous efforts aimed at connecting underserved communities in the U.S. and overseas, and his client work advising on many cutting-edge issues involving spectrum policy, acquisition, and use. Fitzgerald, one of a handful of practicing attorneys to ever be so honored, will be inducted at a ceremony in November. He will be inducted alongside three other notable communications executives: Mark Crosby, CEO of the Enterprise Wireless Alliance; Pat Riordan, former CEO and current Chairman of Nsight Communications and former Chairman of the wireless industry trade association CTIA; and James Tracy, CEO of Legacy Telecommunications.
The Foundation noted that “beyond his excellence as a lawyer he has brought compassion and commitment to the field, as exemplified by the work that he has done throughout his career to mentor young lawyers, and his service to nonprofit entities.”
