Hogan Lovells welcomes the New Year with 38 new partner and 77 new counsel promotions

London and Washington, D.C., 4 January 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells today announced that 38 of its lawyers have been promoted to partner effective 1 January across a network of 45+ offices across six continents, spanning the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 

Speaking on the promotions, Hogan Lovells’ CEO Miguel Zaldivar said: "We recognize that an important driver of our success is our people. Each of Hogan Lovells' practice groups is represented in the 2023 partner promotions:

The additions to the partnership are a reflection of the firm’s global legal practice. The new partners include:
  • 19 in the Americas, spread across our Baltimore, Boston, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. offices
  • 17 in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, spread across our Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, London, Luxembourg, Paris, Rome, and Warsaw offices
  • Two in Asia-Pacific, in Hong Kong and Singapore
  • 58% women, 12% racially/ethnically diverse, and 12% LGBTQ+ 
In addition, Serena Pietrosanti, in the Tax, Pensions & Benefits practice in Rome, has also been promoted to “Head of Tax – Italy,” our most senior level of non-lawyer Tax fee-earner (comparable to partner level for lawyers) and her title will be “Head of Tax – Italy.

Separately, Hogan Lovells Fidelity, the joint office we established with Fujian Fidelity Law Firm in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone in 2016, has promoted one partner and one counsel as of 1 January 2023. Hogan Lovells Fidelity is an integral part of our growth strategy in Greater China and we are delighted to further strengthen our client offering in the region.
