Eric Paroche leads the Paris office's Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice. Through his past experience at the European Commission and his diverse practice in many industry sectors, Eric looks at issues from all angles and puts forward workable solutions.
He provides strategic advice to companies on managing merger and foreign investment control constraints and assists them in their filings with the European Commission, the French Competition Authority, the French Ministry for Economy and other authorities worldwide.
Eric represents companies in antitrust proceedings before the European Commission, the French Competition Authority, and the European and French Courts.
Clients also benefit from his strong experience in public procurement and State aids.

Clearance by the European Commission of the acquisition by CNP Asssurances of Aviva’s Italian life insurance business for € 540 million, enabling CNP Assurances to double its market share in Italy.
Advising Swissterminal (a DP World’s affiliate) in relation to the award of a tender for the 30-year concession of the terminal operations for the port of Mulhouse, third French inland port.
Clearance by the European Commission of TowerBrook's acquisition of Sateba, a leading supplier of precast concrete sleepers for railways.
Obtaining a 40% fine reduction for a worldwide supplier of cosmetics and detergents as French Competition Authority imposed highest fines ever.
Clearance by the French Competition Authority of Andera Partners' acquisition of Sogetrel, a leading installer and integrator of telecommunication networks.
Advising GMP in relation to the award of a tender for a new container terminal at the port in Le Havre.
